Curing Kids Cancer

Curing Kids Cancer

Curing Kids Cancer was founded by Grainne & Clay Owen after their son Killian lost his battle with leukemia at age nine. The foundation’s mission is to fund innovative research and treatments with the end goal of finding cures for all childhood cancers within our lifetime.

How the Organization Works

Curing Kids Cancer hosts several cancer research fundraisers in South Carolina.

The biggest fundraiser Curing Kids Cancer hosts is the Pull For Curing Kids Cancer Fire Truck Pull, in which teams compete to pull a fire truck 50 feet in the fastest time. Each team pulls in honor or in memory of a child with cancer.

Funds raised by Curing Kids Cancer helps children get access to the newest available treatment without having to leave the state, helping families stay together during a very difficult time.

All funds received from Zombie Coffee and Donuts would stay local at the Children’s Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital and be put toward pediatric research and clinical trials toward new cancer treatments.
